Dog breeding

Irish soft coated wheaten terrier

We are a small, home kennel of Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier dogs, known in Poland as wheaten terriers.

About Us - History

Personally, I am a veterinary technician by education, I have extensive experience working in clinics and smaller veterinary offices. I have been passionate about cynology since I was a child. My first dog was Trusia, a small crossbreed, with whom I trained obedience as a child, and she herself starred in a commercial and a film.

As a young girl, I decided to raise a cross-breed Belgian and German Shepherd dog, which I named Lampo. He was a wonderful dog with a fantastic character. I remember many stories related to him. He lived to be 15 years old.

When I met my husband, the idea of starting a kennel emerged, which had always been my dream. The choice of breed was not random, and although it has an unusual story, it didn’t take me long to turn my plans into action. The kennel name was established in 2010. The name Soft Party FCI is a combination of one of the elements of the breed name (Soft) and my surname Partyka (Party) and therefore we decided that all puppies born with us will have names related to drinks and various types of alcohol.

Also in 2010 we imported our first female dog.

She came from the well-known and appreciated swedish kennel Honeyrags. She was of pure Irish pedigree and her name was Queen of Diamonds. At home we called her Tycia. She gave us 2 litters (A and B). She died in 2023.

In 2015, we imported another female, this time from Ireland, from the Hobel kennel, which places great emphasis on maintaining old Irish lines, which suited us very well. In our pedigree she was named A Summer Place, at home we called her Scarlett. In 2017 she gave us a C litter. Only I know how close I was with this dog. In 2019, she died in a car accident in which our entire family was involved. It took me a long time to recover from that.

In 2019, also from Hobel breeding, we were offered a female with the line of Scarlett in her pedigree, and that’s how we got Arlette – Hobel A Healing Love, and her name perfectly reflects what she has become for me, a warm dressing for my heartbreak over the loss of Scarlett. They are very similar to each other. Arlette has won many titles on national and international rings. She is the mother of litter D and E. From litter D we kept a charming female named Dom Perignon, at home Charlotte, who has conquered the national and international rings, winning the title of International Junior Beauty Champion as the first wheaten in Poland. She has a great character that perfectly fits the characteristics of the breed, which you can read about in the Breed Characteristics tab. Although the adventure with wheatens began some time ago, I really hope that it will last for a long time.
